Library Rules

Library Rules
- Please enter the library in a quiet and respectful manner.
- Remember-food and drinks, including water, are not permitted in the library.
- During class time you must have a pass to visit the library. Sign in on the clipboard as soon as you arrive. Unless we remember seeing you, your signature is the only way we have of verifying your presence.
- Please do not ask us to check out materials to you if you have come without your student ID card. We make NO exceptions to this rule!
- Respect everyone's right to use the library. Keep the noise level to a minimum so that students may read and work on assignments without being distracted.
LRC Rules
- You need your current student ID card. Without it, you cannot use a computer, even if it is only for word processing.
- If you are not with your class, you need a pass. If you plan to use the computers before or after school, or even during lunch, you will need a pass from the teacher whose project you are working on.
- If you are going to be on the Internet, you need to be Internet Certified.
- If you are a freshmen or a new student to Taft High, you have to go through a presentation and turn in a parent permission form in order to be Internet Certified.
- If you are an upperclassman and have already been trained, you only have to turn in a new parent permission form ( we need a new one each year).
- Student use of the computers and the Internet has to be school-related and appropriate. Remember, you signed an agreement regarding appropriate use. We have it on file!
- Also remember that we have software that allows us to track your use and view your computer screen at any time. Don't lose your Internet privileges by accessing inappropriate sites.
