ROP Construction

Students receive classroom instruction and participate in hands-on training in fields related to the construction trades. Major course activities include student participation in establishing grades, setting batter boards, setting forms, pouring concrete, laying out plate, and building frames. Students are taught the safe and proper use of hand tools, power tools, and the operation of other machinery. In addition, employment skills are taught to assist students in securing entry-level jobs in the construction industry following graduation. Students write resumes, complete sample job applications, and learn techniques for successful job interviewing.
